Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the long-term vision for global tax operations, aligning technology and process improvements with Meta's broader business objectives.
- Lead the evaluation, implementation, and optimization of advanced tax technologies, specifically leveraging AI and automation to streamline compliance, reporting, and forecasting processes.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements across the global tax lifecycle, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and robust risk management.
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of tax and technology professionals.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence.
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders across Finance, Engineering, Legal, and business units to ensure seamless integration of tax requirements into corporate initiatives and systems.
- Oversee the execution of complex global tax operations, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal controls while managing relationships with external advisors and technology vendors.
Minimum Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive experience in tax operations, tax technology, or a related field within a large multinational corporation or public accounting firm
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated experience driving large-scale technology transformations and process automation within a tax or finance function (experience with AI implementation is highly preferred)
- Deep understanding of global tax concepts, compliance requirements, and financial reporting standards (e.g., ASC 740)
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex tax and technology concepts to non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master's in Taxation, JD) or professional certification (CPA)
- Strong project management skills and experience leading cross-functional, global initiatives
$299,000/year to $350,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
