Responsibilities
- Build and lead a high-performing team of technical program managers supporting DevInfra's pillars, forging tight partnerships with engineering, product, and cross-functional leaders across the organization
- Set organization-wide TPM strategy: identify the riskiest "can't fail" business and technical initiatives, and deploy TPM where it creates the most leverage
- Structure the TPM organization and optimize it for execution — attracting top-tier talent, closing gaps quickly to accommodate change, and building for scale
- Own end-to-end delivery of the cross-pillar programs that no single team can land alone, from ambiguous problem statement through measurable outcome
- Partner with engineering and product leadership on planning: shaping priorities, validating plans against risks, dependencies, and resource constraints, and driving the planning and review cadence for the organization
- Manage, mentor, and grow the existing TPM team, including performance-managing those who need more support
- Deliver measurable results — quantifying the effectiveness of the platforms and processes we own, and identifying how to take them to the next level
- Design and execute the process and strategy frameworks that facilitate goal setting, decision making, and business impact across a matrixed organization
- Lead technical discussions and serve as a thought leader in program, product, and design reviews; articulate the organization's technical vision, requirements, goals, and milestones to stakeholders up to and including VP-level leadership
- Partner across technical functions company-wide to keep organizations in sync, and represent DevInfra to its internal customers
- Lead from the front — prioritize, translate vision into results, and drive the bigger mission forward
- Continue to improve a thriving engineering culture with customer focus, world-class quality, decisive and fast-moving solutions, quick and constructive conflict resolution, and a "no barriers" mentality
- Serve as an evangelist for the team and its culture, both internally and externally
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- 15+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, or technical product/program management experience
- Demonstrated experience building, growing, and mentoring technical program management or engineering teams
- Proven track record of scaling infrastructure or platforms in a highly transformative environment
- Experience running large-scale, company-wide initiatives requiring collaboration across a broad range of roles and participants
- Experience moving technical or engineering programs from concept to completion, and articulating impact using metrics, growth examples, and return
- Experience communicating the reasoning behind program architectures — how and why they were run, and the systems put in place to run them
- Knowledge of technical program management methodologies
- Experience setting organizational strategy and influencing roadmaps across multiple engineering organizations
- Experience with executive-level communication, including presenting to and influencing senior leadership
- Experience navigating ambiguity and defining structure for complex, multi-year programs
- Experience with developer infrastructure, developer tooling, or large-scale software systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
- Experience with the software development lifecycle at scale: source control, build systems, CI, code review, testing and verification, mobile/web release
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
- Experience leading a function through organizational change or reorganization
- Experience leading programs in AI-native software development — coding agents, agent orchestration, evaluation, or the infrastructure that supports them
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize or redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
- Experience defining and driving developer productivity or engineering effectiveness metrics
