Responsibilities
- Apply deep technical accounting expertise to complex infrastructure arrangements under ASC 360, including capitalization, useful life assessments, impairment analysis, and disposals
- Support accounting and reporting for large-scale Compute, Storage, and Network assets—including servers, network hardware, and related capital programs
- Partner closely with Engineering, Technical Sourcing, Product, Legal, Tax, and Supply Chain teams to provide authoritative accounting guidance and inform decision-making on infrastructure investments, particularly compute expansion initiatives
- Develop and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to understand broader business objectives and translate them into sound accounting practices
- Design and scale systems, processes, and controls to support a rapidly growing fixed asset portfolio in a high-velocity environment
- Serve as a key point of contact with external auditors on fixed asset and capital expenditure accounting matters
- Drive process improvements and automation—including leveraging AI tooling—to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of financial reporting
Minimum Qualifications
- 6+ years of relevant experience in accounting and auditing
- Technical accounting knowledge of US GAAP standards applicable to infrastructure, including ASC 360 (property, plant, and equipment) and ASC 842 (leases)
- Experience developing and maintaining accounting processes and internal controls for capital-intensive asset portfolios at scale
- Experience partnering with cross-functional teams
- Experience communicating complex accounting positions and analysis to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through written documentation and presentations
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- Experience using data analysis or visualization tools such as SQL, Python, Tableau, or similar platforms to support infrastructure accounting analysis and reporting
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to redesign accounting workflows and deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, accuracy, or control coverage
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP in the context of fixed asset and capital project accounting
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
$114,000/year to $167,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
