Responsibilities
- Build experience with Backbone, Data Center, and Network Infrastructure Engineering teams.
- Build, manage, and maintain multi-vendor, multi-protocol data center and backbone network.
- Develop optimized network monitoring systems.
- Design, and deploy new network architectures.
- Develop automated methods to mitigate and remediate network events.
- Analyze data to diagnose and identify root causes to network issues.
- Be an active participant in deep technical discussions.
- Develop and maintain consistency within the network infrastructure.
- Test new network products and pilot them in production DC networks before a mass rollout.
- Develop test automation frameworks integrated in CI/CD pipeline to qualify network software before push in production.
- Develop tests that qualify complex network migration procedures in lab/emulation before executing the same in production.
- Test software features in FBOSS (NOS software) partnering with in-house software development teams.
- Qualify and push vendor software releases in the fleet.
- Build and operate DC test lab networks.
- Participate in DC network on-call rotation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a Master's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Requires completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis in the following
- Building maintainable and testable code bases, including API design and unit testing techniques
- C++
- Design for Testing
- Hardware development and testing experience
- Linux and Unix
- Network Routing Protocols
- Network analysis, debugging and troubleshooting, using tools: Wireshark, Network Simulator, Selenium or Git
- Network device configuration
- Python
- Regression Testing
- Test and scripting: Tcl, shell, Makefile
- Networking protocols (TCP/IP or HTTP)

$222,950/year to $250,250/year + bonus + equity + benefits
