Responsibilities
- Develop optimized network monitoring systems.
- Design and deploy new network architectures.
- Be an active participant in deep technical discussions.
- Develop and maintain consistency within the network infrastructure.
- Maintain and Deploy Network Security Monitoring solutions across a fleet of bare metal servers.
- Ensure network visibility logs across Meta's enterprise network.
- Iterate network security posture to better protect against attacks and detect new vectors.
- Lead network efforts to mitigate and investigate security incidents.
- Develop automation and utilize frameworks to scale both protection and mitigation tools.
- Evaluate and test new vendor and in house network initiatives for security issues.
- Mentor and evangelize security practices through cross functional work with engineering teams throughout Meta.
- Keep Meta safe through active operation and defense of critical network infrastructure.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a Master's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Requires a completion of one graduate-level course, one research project, or one internship involving the following
- Software Security Engineering
- Operating systems, file systems and memory on Windows, MacOS, or Linux
- Interpreted programming language PHP, Python, Perl or Ruby
- Information security detection and response
- Developing scalable systems to automation detection and remediation
- Identifying attacker tactics, techniques and procedures
- Configure and maintain the infrastructure required to log network telemetry and metadata
- Ensure resilience of network infrastructure to withstand internal and external threats

- Analytics and troubleshooting
- Network Security
- Network device configuration
$222,772/year to $250,250/year + bonus + equity + benefits
