Responsibilities
- Help craft and implement content policies that take into consideration the needs of a global community
- Collaborate with Policy, Product, Legal, Operations, Communications, and external stakeholders to drive policy improvements
- Act as a global escalation point of contact and manage internal communications for policy issues
- Help articulate policy philosophy, launches, and changes to relevant parties, including management, operations, and other internal and external stakeholders
- Build relationships with and understand the perspectives of partners on internal teams, such as Public Policy, Communications, Operations, Product, and Legal
- This role may involve exposure to potentially graphic and/or objectionable content including but not limited to graphic images, videos, audio, and writings, offensive or derogatory language, self-injury, animal abuse, and other content which may be considered offensive or disturbing
- Given the demands of content-related escalations, the team is expected to work irregular hours, including early mornings, late nights, or weekends
- Strategically adapt, work independently, and rapidly earn credibility and trust within all levels of the organization
- Critically analyze and communicate the costs and benefits of refinements to policies and their implementation
- Develop and manage programs designed to share actionable intelligence about cyber-criminal groups, fraud, and scams with industry and government partners,
- Operationalize incoming intelligence to inform and accelerate disruption efforts and enforcement strategy
- Coordinate with industry peers to maximize collective impact against shared threats
- Partner with investigative teams to drive takedowns and deterrence of adversarial threat actors globally,
- Support regulatory response and strategy in Europe focused on fraud and scams and adversarial threats,
- Work with Product and Engineering teams to translate investigative insights into scaled detection and enforcement solutions
- Partner and support cross-functional teams to externalise enforcement actions and findings where appropriate
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Technology, Law, Policy, or a related field
- 8+ years experience in policy, government, cybersecurity, project management, law, or operations
- 6+ years of experience supporting policy, security, law or similar as a single-thread owner, demonstrating independent assessment, analysis, and execution
- 6+ years of experience owning partnerships with shareholders, internal/external partners, cross-functional contributors, or similar parties in order to build consensus
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Meta products and principles
- Law degree, MBA, MPP, MS Engineering, or other advanced degree
- 4+ years of experience working in one or more of the following regulatory spaces: financial services, weapons/firearms, health and wellness, gambling, frauds and scams
- 4+ years of experience working in content policy or related field in the big tech space
- Experience presenting to executive and/or regulatory audiences
- 4+ years of expertise in crafting formal policy documentation for a wide-ranging audience
- Demonstrated expertise litigating or managing policy concerning potentially graphic and objectionable content
$153,000/year to $error/year + bonus + equity + benefits
