Join our web development team which is bridging Meta's external marketing websites and platforms. As a people manager of Technical Website Operations within the Meta Web Development Organization, you'll manage a team that empowers marketing and product teams with efficient, impactful, and scalable web experiences. You will be responsible for standardizing Web Development at Meta - creating and adopting reusable web templates/components for consistency and faster development, maximizing organic reach through best practices, providing technical support for rapid launches and iterations, and optimizing website performance, scalability, and security. We're data-driven, design-forward, and interface with several teams across Meta.

Responsibilities

  • Build, manage, and set direction for the team as a whole, as well as for individual team member success
  • Standardize web development operations at Meta through managing the creation and ensuring adoption of reusable web templates and components that enables brand consistency and faster development
  • As a cross-functional partner, lead technical website discussions as a thought leader during product reviews and be responsible for designing and executing process and strategy frameworks that facilitate product-related goal setting, decision making, and business impact
  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Design, Content, Data Science, SEO & Content, and Marketing to define needs to support strategic planning and execution as well as metrics, program requirements, and scope
  • Communicate to stakeholders your team’s technology requirements, goals, and milestones
  • Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery
  • Provide hands-on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation phases
  • Perform risk and change management on highly visible projects
  • Influence program/product direction and simplify complexity


Minimum Qualifications

  • 12 + years of software industry experience, including web development, software engineering or technical product/program management experience or similar experience
  • Experience in leading teams and vendor partners to drive cross-functional projects through to success with minimal guidance
  • Experience in establishing and leading teams through multi-disciplinary relationships to drive product impact
  • Demonstrated experience of understanding technical aspects of running a website, including hosting, analytics, UX, technical and content SEO, domain management, content management system, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, platform tools, site performance, localization, and budgeting
  • Experience communicating and representing work to leadership and framing discussions to gain valuable feedback and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products
  • 4 + years of people management experience leading teams to deliver technical programs or products from inception to delivery
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical technical experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience of React development
  • Experience managing technical aspects of a global eCommerce website
