What You'll Do
● Slice deli meats and cheeses to order, following food safety and portion guidelines
● Prepare fresh food items for the deli case, including salads, sandwiches, and daily specials
● Stock, rotate, and merchandise deli and bakery cases to keep them full and appealing
● Assist with bakery items — stocking, packaging, and maintaining freshness standards
● Greet and serve customers at the deli counter, answering questions and taking orders
● Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in accordance with health codes
● Support general store operations and teammates as needed
What We're Looking For
Required:
● Must be 18 years of age or older
● Experience or comfort with slicing meats/cheeses (training provided)
● Willingness to learn food prep and bakery tasks
● Comfortable stocking and rotating product
● Friendly, customer-first attitude
● Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25-40 lbs
● Reliable and able to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends
Preferred:
● Prior deli, bakery, or grocery experience
● Food handler's certification (or willingness to obtain one)
Schedule
Both full-time and part-time positions are available. We're happy to talk through scheduling during the interview.
