Job Summary:

Provides legal administrative support to the Froedtert ThedaCare Health Office of General Counsel (OGC) as outlined in the Job Standards/Responsibilities below. This position is supervised by the Supervisor, Legal Operations, but supports all members of the Office of General Counsel. Functions include a wide variety of advanced clerical, administrative, organizational, and calendar management support. Duties include supporting leaders, attorneys and support staff with administrative functions including, but not limited to: data tracking, supply ordering, meeting and event planning, preparing agendas and minutes, certified, overnight, and urgent mailings, courier service coordination, travel arrangements, expense reimbursement, advanced, effective calendar management, and OGC operational legal and contract software system administrative support. Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

A minimum of 3 years of Administrative Assistant or 6 years of Secretarial experience. Experience with Learning Management systems is preferred.

Law firm or in-house corporate legal department experience is strongly preferred.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

High School diploma or equivalent is required. Associate degree preferred. Willingness to become a Notary Public.

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:

Knowledge of healthcare and legal software systems preferred. Ability to use discretion with sensitive information. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to read, review, edit and format contracts and other legal documents. Ability to prioritize work, as well as plan and complete assignments while dealing with a high volume of work and short deadlines. Ability to manage through competing priorities. Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and accuracy while thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven department. Effective oral and written communication skills with competence in grammar and spelling. Experience with meeting management, calendar management, expense reports, and travel arrangements. Ability to work independently and take own initiative. Exceptional organizational skills.
