Location: US:WI:MENOMONEE FALLS at our FROEDTERT MEN FALLS HOSPITAL and at our FROEDTERT WEST BEND facility.

Shift Details:

  • 5 days per week, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m
  • Weekend and holiday rotation: every 5th or 6th weekend and 1-2 holidays per year (on-call for holidays)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Inpatient Clinical Dietitian to join our healthcare team at Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital and Froedtert West Bend Hospital. This position is 5 days/week and will rotate between the two locations per a pre-determined schedule. 3 days/week for the 0.6 FTE. Career advancement opportunities available through Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) Professional Development Pathway (PDP) and RDN Career Ladder. This position is eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus. ($1000 for 0.6 FTE)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Conduct nutrition assessments of patients and develop individualized nutrition care plans

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition plans and adjust as needed

Provide medical nutrition therapy and patient education

Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and multidisciplinary partners

Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with departmental policies and procedures

Demonstrate competency and utilization of dietitian order writing privileges to deliver care

Stay current with the latest research and developments in the field of clinical nutrition

Assist with departmental projects, quality improvement initiatives, and staff education as needed

Support weekend/holiday rotation and pager coverage as scheduled

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

A minimum of two years of experience with direct patient care is preferred.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited Clinical Dietetics and Nutrition program is required. Completion of an ACEND approved internship or coordinated undergraduate program is required.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

Current Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) is required or must be registration eligible. Current RDN must also be a State of Wisconsin Certified Dietitian or show proof of application for certification within 60 days of hire or transfer. If registration eligible, must pass the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) national registration exam to achieve RDN status within six months of the date of hire or transfer and show proof of application for State of Wisconsin certification within 60 days of obtaining registration.
