Job Description

Aramark Facilities Management is seeking a Painter with strong drywall repair experience to support operations at Kohl’s Headquarters.

 

This role goes beyond traditional painting and requires hands-on expertise in drywall patching, repair, taping, mudding, sanding, and finishing. The technician will ensure all wall and ceiling surfaces are properly prepared, repaired, and finished to a high standard prior to painting.

 

The ideal candidate brings a balance of painting craftsmanship and drywall finishing skill, with the ability to work independently in an active corporate facility.

Pay & Schedule

  • Pay Range: $21.72 – $27.72 per hour (based on experience)
  • Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (evening shift)
  • Location Requirement: This role is based at Kohl’s Headquarters andis not accessible by public transportation. Reliable personal transportation is required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Painting & Surface Finishing

    • Apply primers, paints, stains, varnishes, lacquers, and specialty coatings to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces
    • Perform detailed surface preparation including scraping, sanding, patching, and smoothing
    • Match existing colors and finishes to maintain consistency across the facility

    Drywall Installation & Repair (Core Requirement)

    • Patch, repair, and replace damaged drywall surfaces
    • Perform taping, mudding, sanding, and finishing to prepare surfaces for paint
    • Match existing textures and ensure seamless repairs
    • Measure, cut, and install drywall as needed

    General Maintenance & Execution

    • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and project specifications
    • Set up and safely use ladders and scaffolding
    • Maintain tools, materials, and inventory for painting and drywall work
    • Support minor building maintenance tasks as needed (light repairs, replacements)

    Safety & Compliance

    • Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE
    • Handle and dispose of paints, compounds, and materials in compliance with regulations
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

    Client & Team Interaction

    • Maintain a professional, customer-focused approach within an active corporate environment
    • Communicate effectively with team members and site leadership
    • Respond to service requests in a timely manner
  • Maintains compliance with ARAMARK standards of operation, client requirements, and business conduct policies
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by leadership

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience in commercial painting and drywall repair
  • Demonstrated experience with drywall patching, taping, mudding, sanding, and finishing
  • Ability to match textures and deliver clean, finished surfaces ready for paint
  • Experience with common painting tools, materials, and techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret basic drawings, work orders, and instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and quality of work
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
