Your Role on Our TeamÂ
The Quality Technician I will be responsible for ensuring the quality of all products produced meet agreed upon standards and expectations.Â
Â
The Quality Technician I will demonstrate the ability to put people and process first at all times to ensure Milwaukee Tool’s unwavering devotion to a robust quality culture. This position is the standard bearer for who we are and the obsession we have with being the market leader in Hand Tools. A Quality Technician I is charged with overseeing the quality of the production floor. The ability to effectively communicate to the team is crucial to the continued success and development of the personnel and equipment managed. Through resourcing of timely product inspections and audits, the Quality Technician I position is tasked with the short- and long-term success of the Manufacturing Quality Team.  Â

You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities: Â
Key contributor of the manufacturing quality assurance organization by performing daily audits of the manufacturing process to ensure all products and processes are abiding by the specifications and standards set by the leadership teamsÂ
User of test lab equipment such as tensile/torsion testers, hardness testers, metallurgical equipment (cut/mount/polish, optical and stereo microscopes), and other various test equipmentÂ
Operate CMM and VMM measuring machines and user of handheld devices such as calipers, micrometers, height/snap/pin gauges and other various devices to support metrology needsÂ
Initiate Quality System documentation, such as Inspections, Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR’s), and quality alertsÂ
Complete dimensional inspections of incoming raw materialÂ
Ability to navigate document repository web page to locate inspection reports, blueprints and other quality documentsÂ
Participate in gage R&R studies as neededÂ
Support and mentor manufacturing operatorsÂ
Effectively communicate across shifts and weekend work within internal teams and cross-functional teamsÂ
Support Operator instruction/ training on new procedures or techniquesÂ
Perform basic math; fraction to decimal conversion, arithmetic and units of measure conversion, and basic statisticsÂ
Consciously abide by all safety policies and procedures to create a safe working environmentÂ
Other duties as assignedÂ
The TOOLS you’ll bring with you:Â
High School or GED diploma requiredÂ
1+ years of previous quality experience or 3+ years of manufacturing experience required  Â
Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and Microsoft OutlookÂ
Excellent oral and written communication skillsÂ
Ability to navigate technology such as computer, tablet, and printer systemsÂ
Ability to work independently and as part of a teamÂ
Ability to read blueprintsÂ
Problem solving abilities, interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage interruptions is requiredÂ
Proven hands-on skills and ability to follow detailed instructionsÂ
