Position Summary

As a Tool Room Technician your responsibilities will be to support Tool Room functions to meet production demands while maintaining safety, quality, and documentation requirements.

 

Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

What you will do as a Tool Room Technician

  • Read and comprehend instructions, prints and drawings
  • Assembles dies, fixtures, and punches
  • Run machines such as surface grinders, manual vertical mills, and engine lathes
  • Maintain proper conduct to promote and provide a safe working environment.
  • Take measurements with micrometers, calipers, and venires
  • Aid Maintenance Dept. with PM’s as required
  • Aid Molding Dept. with PM’s and Mold Tooling as required
  • Help with design of molds and fixtures
  • Troubleshoots and problem solves applicable equipment and fixtures
  • Other duties as required by management

The Experience, Skills and Abilities

Required:

  • High school graduate/GED
  • 2 Years in a vocational school a plus
  • Minimum 5 years hands on machining experience

 

 

Other:

  • CNC experience recommended but not required
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions and
  • safety rules.
  • Ability to understand oral and written instruction in English.
  • Ability to carry out detailed written and oral instruction.
  • Know decimal equivalent of fractions and able to use a calculator
  • Mechanical aptitude and competence with hand tools are required as well
  • as a basic understanding of electricity and hydraulics.

Pay range for this opportunity is $19.11 - $24.73. This position is eligible for bonus participation.

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
