Core Responsibilities (Mentorship & Compliance)

  • Weld Instruction: Provide hands-on training and mentorship to structural welders; facilitate new-hire weld testing and skill validation.
  • Quality Auditing: Perform precise visual and dimensional inspections on complex manufacturing weldments.
  • Code Verification: Ensure active shop procedures, techniques, and welding configurations strictly meet AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, and critical customer codes.
  • NDT Oversight: Review and map destructive and non‑destructive testing documentation for compliance.
  • Traceability: Maintain accurate, complete inspection reports, weld maps, and quality tracking records.


What We Are Looking For

  • AWS CWI Certification: Active AWS Certified Welding Inspector status is highly preferred, but we will consider elite senior welders with a clear track record who are ready to test immediately.
  • Code Fluency: Strong, functional knowledge of structural welding codes (AWS D1.1, ASME).
  • The "Coach" Mindset: Exceptional communication skills and an absolute passion for training, correcting, and developing less-experienced welders.
  • Documentation Skills: Professional comfort using MS Office tools and ERP manufacturing software to log test results.
