Performance is measured by market growth (the number of herds and cows being tested), financial performance, technician performance, and overall customer satisfaction. These responsibilities will be met by building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers, establishing goals for market growth and working with staff to meet these goals, meeting budget expectations, and maintaining regular communication with organization leadership. A significant goal for all Market Managers is to maintain and improve the compensation of the technicians they oversee. This will be done by constantly striving to fulfill the position responsibilities at the highest level possible. Market Managers are expected to represent Dairy One in their territories by promoting the company as a value-added business and to upholding Dairy One values of integrity, professionalism, innovation, commitment, positivity, and safety.       ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS     %  of total effort Duties & Responsibilities 40% Market Performance Work with the Manager of DHI Records Service to establish an annual budget and regularly monitor market financial performance. Establish operational goals (service and financial) related to market performance. Monitor performance towards established goals and develop action plans for underachieving goals. Develop and implement strategies to meet market and organizational goals. 30% Market Development Identifying opportunities for market growth including signing up new herds and increasing the number of Dairy One services being utilized. Establishing market growth goals and working with market staff to meet these goals. Participating and supporting promotional programs.     20% Staffing Hire, ensure proper training and monitor performance of market staff. Conduct annual performance evaluations for market staff. Maintain consistent communication with market staff regarding their performance in the market and general organizational information. Work with market staff to maintain Dairy One customer service expectations including selling and promoting additional Dairy One services. Monitor and enforce technician adherence to Dairy One policies and safety recommendations. Implement team building initiatives to support and enhance employee engagement. 10% DHIA Testing Manage market testing relief needs up to and including performing relief DHIA testing when necessary.     SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Market Managers supervise all Field and DHIA Services staff within their markets.
