Job DetailsJob Location: Meriden Office - Meriden, CT 06450QualificationsLand Survey – Crew Chief   Our growth offers an opportunity for an experienced Crew Chief to join our team. The selected candidates must have a minimum of 4+ years of progressive experience performing boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS Land Title surveys, construction layout and as-built surveys.  Position will oversee daily field operations, ensure adherence to project specifications, safety standards and will utilize Leica surveying equipment, Carlson GPS and Carlson data collection software.      Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise one or more field survey team members Perform boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS Land Title surveys construction layout and as-built surveys Collect, process and verify field data to ensure accuracy and completeness Prepare field notes, sketches and daily photos for project Establish horizontal and vertical control networks Ensure all survey work complies with Company standards, project requirements and state surveying requirements Maintain survey equipment is in proper working condition and calibration as required Monitor crew productivity and provide training and mentoring to junior staff     Required Qualifications: 4+ years of progressive experience in land surveying Proficiency operating Leica equipment, Carlson GPS and data collection software Thorough understanding of surveying principles, coordinate systems, field procedures and construction staking Strong problem-solving skills Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record Ability to travel to project sites as required      BL Companies is 100% employee owned, giving us a competitive edge and a unique distinction from most other companies.
