Weekend Shift Rhythm
Your weekend begins with a focused handoff and a quick review of priorities for the unit. Throughout the day, you balance resident rounding with timely charting, coordinate with therapy and other departments as plans change, and keep communication clear for residents and families. You’ll spend time coaching the team through busy periods, verifying that documentation is complete and accurate, and ensuring follow-ups are closed out before shift change. As the day winds down, you prepare a thorough end-of-shift report so the next team starts informed and set up for continuity of care.
