Living by these virtues, we pride ourselves on exceptional service and the highest quality of care.As a Senior Patient Service Representative, you will work in conjunction with physicians and clinical staff to take care of patientsā administrative needs.Ā Ā Primary responsibilities include checking in patients for appointments, collecting patient co-pays, answering telephones, takingĀ accurateĀ messages, scheduling appointments, and checking insurance eligibility.Ā Ā Ā
You willĀ utilizeĀ our electronic record system to verify and update patient demographic information as well as posting andĀ balancing ofĀ payments collected.Ā Ā Patient Service Representatives are friendly and provide excellent customer service, assuring that patients are informed and well cared for while waiting for their appointment, creating a positive experience for patients.
Senior Patient Service RepresentativesĀ assistĀ in mentoring Patient Service RepresentativesĀ andĀ assistĀ theĀ Lead PSR with leadership duties.Ā
Ā
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Ā Ā
Two or more years of experience in a medical office setting preferredĀ
Electronic health record (EHR) experienceĀ requiredĀ
Medical terminologyĀ requiredĀ
Experience with process improvement or lean philosophy preferredĀ
ā
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Ā
Must be proficient in the requirements of the Patient Service Representative Job DescriptionĀ
Know, understand, incorporate, andĀ demonstrateĀ the organizational Mission, Core Values, and Vision in behaviors, practices,Ā policiesĀ and decisions.Ā
Protect patientsā rights byĀ maintainingĀ confidentiality of personal and financial information and follow guidelines for HIPPA regulationsĀ
Maintain operations by following policies and procedures and reports needed changesĀ
Acknowledges and greets patientsĀ immediately, providing a positive customer service experienceĀ
Registers patients for appointments and completes paperworkĀ
Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patientās arrivalĀ
Collect, record, and communicate toĀ patientsĀ their responsible balances for visit, diagnostic testing, supplies, etc.Ā
Maintain knowledge of different payer practices and deductiblesĀ
AssistĀ patients with all aspects of Financial Assistance PaperworkĀ
OptimizeĀ patientās satisfaction, provider time, and treatment roomĀ utilizationĀ by scheduling appointments in person or by telephoneĀ
Handles multiple telephone lines effectively and politely per clinic standardsĀ Ā Ā
Updates patient personal and insurance information, and notifies patients to bring insurance cards, identification, and co-payment to appointmentĀ Ā Ā
Ability to process incoming and outgoing referral requestsĀ
Files incoming medical reports and correspondenceĀ
Assembles new patient medical recordsĀ in accordance withĀ policies and proceduresĀ
Receives, processes, and documents referral requests to and from the officeĀ
