Job DetailsJob Location: Wynnewood, PA 19096United Anesthesia Services (UAS) – United Division is seeking a full-time, call-taking Critical Care Anesthesiologist to join our team supporting Main Line Health, with a primary assignment at Lankenau Medical Center. Position Highlights: 1.0 FTE, full-time call position Mix of anesthesiology (75%) and ICU responsibilities (25%) Credentialing across all Main Line Health hospitals Primary location: Lankenau Medical Center (suburban Philadelphia) Compensation & Incentives: Base Salary: $480,000 Critical Care Stipend: $50,000 annually Weekend ICU Call Pay: $50,600 annually (approx. 11 weekends/year) Sign-On/Retention Bonus: $200,000 Paid in 3 annual installments of $66,667 Benefits: 7 weeks PTO annually Company-paid: Occurrence-based malpractice insurance Medical, life, and long-term disability coverage ASA & PSA dues Optional dental and vision insurance 401(k)/profit sharing with up to 6.5% employer contribution Additional Details: Hybrid model: 3 weeks general anesthesiology + 1 week CTICU coverage CTICU week: Monday–Friday coverage + weekend call (post-call day Monday) Opportunities for additional pay. QualificationsClinical Skills Must be able to appropriately: Assess patients’ status, induce and maintain anesthesia, establish IV access, intubate and extubate patients, perform epidurals and spinals, and able to establish an A-line as appropriate. Must be actively engaged in patient management. Call-Taking physicians must also be able to do fiberoptic intubations, establish central lines and perform nerve blocks, as well as lung isolation when appropriate. Cases will be reviewed at random to evaluate performance. Additionally, every physician must be able to demonstrate competence in all requested clinical privileges. Annually, must perform: 2 epidurals, 2 spinals, 5 personally performed anesthesia cases demonstrating ability to Induce, maintain, establish IV access, intubation and extubation; 2 nerve blocks, 2 A-lines, 2 Central lines, and must be able to demonstrate ability to perform a fiberoptic intubation. Communication Skills Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing, including but not limited to the following: Complete, clear and appropriate documentation Timely communication Accurate sign-out documentation Appropriate transfer of care Effective communication with patients and other clinicians Regular communication with CRNAs and other physicians  Education, Training, and Certification Requirements All UAS Physicians must maintain the following licenses and credentials: Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Pennsylvania Board certified (or eligible) in Anesthesiology Maintenance of Continuing Education requirements Must complete all required UAS training programs Must maintain BLS & ACLS certifications, and PALS certifications as required Must maintain facility privileges Physical Requirements Regularly standing for periods of up to 60 minutes Ability to lift 20 lbs Ability to push/pull stretcher with patient (of up to 250 lbs) Bending/Stooping regularly through shift Walking: regularly throughout shift as required for patient care. Occasionally, must be able to respond quickly to emergencies Repetitive motions: regularly as required for patient care Sufficient Auditory and visual abilities as required for patient care  Other Requirements Familiar with the location, operation & process for reporting malfunctions, of the following: Anesthesia machines & monitors, Ventilators, Cardiac monitors, Temperature & BP monitors, MH cart/box, All pediatric anesthesia equipment, Endotrachial intubation tools, Hand-controlled ventilation tools, CPR equipment, Computers & clinical computer programs, Other clinical Point of Care testing equipment Uniform & Dress: Scrubs or other OR appropriate attire in accordance with facility requirements Must follow universal precautions in all clinical work Acceptable surgeon, patient, and facility satisfaction levels Adherence to all UAS policies and procedures Maintains in strictest confidence all patient and corporate information Willing to serve on hospital or UAS committees, as requested Good attendance and timeliness; courteous in relieving others and when taking breaks Positive representation of UAS Â
