We are currently seeking a Part-Time Cook to join our enthusiastic team at The Hearth at Drexel!

The Hearth at Drexel is a premier retirement community in Bala Cynwyd, PA. We take pride in our dedicated team members who support and care for our residents.

Shift/Schedule Available:

Part-Time--11:00am-7:00pm Monday and Saturday first week, Sunday and Friday the second week.

Some job responsibilities include:

This position is responsible for preparing and serving all food for residents, staff, and special functions as per the menu and restricted diets by following standardized recipes.
Prepare and handle food according to daily production sheets and special events.
Prepare food that is palatable and appetizing in appearance.
Prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations.
Follow written menus and standardized recipes.
Comprehend and prepare therapeutic diets.
Meet meal schedule.
Safe operation of food service equipment.
Record and maintain required temperatures for all food served and all equipment temperatures.

Education and Experience:

Two years’ experience in food service and cooking.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
Experience in hospitality or customer service field.
Training from trade school or college preferred but not required.
