School Security Guard

The Agnes Irwin School, an all-girls' Pre-K through 12th-grade independent school in the Philadelphia suburbs, is committed to fostering the intellectual and personal growth of girls and young women. Providing its students with a rigorous academic education, AIS is dedicated to developing each student's highest potential in intellect, character, and physical well-being. 

Currently, The Agnes Irwin School is seeking a School Security Guard.  Successful candidates will be committed to fostering the intellectual and personal growth of students and ensuring the safety of our community through the mission of The Agnes Irwin School and the Core Values of Excellence, Character, Community, and Respect. 

Responsibilities include:

• Patrol and monitor the campus to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff
• Assist with vehicular traffic flow during arrival and dismissal times
• Oversee rental and community groups using the facilities, ensuring the proper use of the building and designated spaces
• Complete set ups for events and athletics
• Assist in general maintenance of the school facilities when necessary
• Drive school vehicles as necessary

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED is required and 1 to 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
• Previous experience working in a school environment is desirable
• Background clearances required
• General maintenance skills are required
• Ability to interact with all members of the School community in a courteous, cooperative and service-oriented manner
• Valid PA driver's license is required
• Act 67 training is preferred
• Willingness and ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary
