If so, the team at Merrifield Animal Hospital wants to talk!Merrifield Animal Hospital is seeking a Pet Care Attendant to assist us in providing unparalleled care to all our patients and boarding/daycare guests. Pet Care Attendants provide care through interaction and maintain a healthy, safe, and clean environment for the animals while under the direction of the hospital manager, doctors, and technical team.

 

What Our PCAs Bring

  • A love for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift throughout the shift.
  • Capability to lift 30 lbs regularly and push/pull up to 50 lbs (like walking strong dogs!).
  • Professional experience in animal care is a big plus, but not required!
  • An eye for detail and an ability to follow instructions carefully.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide a fun and safe environment for dogs during camp hours.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of dog runs, cages, and cat enclosures.
  • Feed and care for pets in the kennel.
  • Maintain the overall cleanliness of our hospital to the highest standards.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and teammates, both verbally and in writing.
  • Use basic math skills to complete daily tasks.

 

What We’re Looking For:
