The main objective is to deliver “Press Ready” inks to the presses in a way that makes the inks trouble free. Additionally, this position requires strict adherence to all health and safety regulations regarding hazardous waste. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Receive and inventory inks. Perform ink draw down tests to ensure color correctness. Adjust ink viscosity’s and strength and stage ready inks for each press. Closely manage ink returns and restocking. Prepare waste inks and solvents for disposal maintaining proper records. RESPONSIBILITIES: Problem Solving:  Be pro-active in recognizing/defining and resolving problems. Communication:  Utilize effective communication methods through reports and training sessions. Planning:  Prioritize routine tasks, duties and assignments. Qualifications Meticulous attention to detail. Understanding of how to apply color theory in preparing inks for use. Ability to manage ink and solvent inventories. Ability to lift 50 pounds. EXPERIENCE: Must be a high school graduate. Prior pre-press experience a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Employee Training Required: Leadership and Training Skills Basic Safety Forklift Operation and Safety Ink: Toning and Waste Control Procedure Compliance Training QC Training : Draw down and viscosity  testing. ISO Awareness / Quality Objectives  X-Rite and Color Theory Application Inventory Management. Waste Disposal Methods. HAZ MAT handling and precautions. Microsoft Word and Excel Training
