Construction Wireman - Solar

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position will include, but is not limited to, material handling, general assembly, panel mounting, and general construction activities related to the construction of a new solar field in central Wisconsin. Daily work activities will include working under the supervision of a Journeyman Electrician.

• Ensure a safe job site, maintaining compliance with company safety standards
• Work in a team environment, seeking to understand best practices for quality installations
• Follow specifications and plans for assembly of racking, modules, and electrical panels
• Installation of solar system modules and devices
• Communicate progress of work, delivery, and implementation
• Analyze construction documents effectively for job site knowledge
• Analyze upcoming tasks and anticipates equipment, procedures and training
• Accurately complete required paperwork

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

• Valid driver's license-Must be at least 18 years old
• Submit to pre-employment background and drug testing
• Previous experience with construction or mechanical work i.e. automotive repair, residential construction, or general assembly is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills - verbal, written and listening
• Demonstrate an interest in the Electrical or Solar work

• 25' Tape measure
• Hammer
• Torpedo level
• 1/2 Round File
• Black marker
• Lineman’s pliers
• Diagonal side cutter
• Two pairs Channel locks
• 5 in 1 screwdriver

SCHEDULE:

Monday to Thursday 1st Shift, 4 days/10hrs days-Start times vary however typical is 6:00AM-Schedule will be dependent on weather

WAGE

$16.70 to $41.75 per hour
