Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Program Manager to lead complex development efforts in visual systems and extended reality (XR) technologies. This role will support cutting‑edge R&D programs that enhance situational awareness, human–machine teaming, mission rehearsal, and immersive visualization capabilities for next‑generation defense solutions. The Senior Program Manager will drive daily execution, cross‑functional coordination, and successful delivery of a high‑visibility program that directly enables the growth of our business units.

 

Will directly support and work with the R&D Director responsible for the Visually Augmented Systems portfolio.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead program planning, execution, risk management, and delivery for advanced visual systems and XR technology programs.
  • Manage cost, schedule, and performance across multiple sites
  • Coordinate with engineering, product management, UX/HMI, systems architecture, and operations to ensure cohesive execution and technical alignment.
  • Translate customer needs, mission use cases, and operational requirements into program plans and actionable engineering tasks.
  • Drive technology maturation from prototypes through integration, testing, and transition to business units or production programs.
  • Maintain rigorous program documentation, compliance, and reporting aligned with internal processes and contractual requirements.
  • Proactively identify risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies to ensure program success.
  • Foster a collaborative, agile, and high-performance environment within the cross-functional program team.
  • Apply and champion the Elbit Program Management Excellence (PMX) construct

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing complex technology development programs, including baseline management
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering, optical systems, image processing, display technologies, or XR software frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and manage programs with high technical content.
  • Experience with defense, aerospace, or regulated industries is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with customers, leadership, partners, and technical teams.
  • PMP certification, EVMS experience, or equivalent program leadership credentials are a plus.
  • Experience with Military type qualification is highly desired

 

Education, Experience/Knowledge & License/Certification:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree and typically 10+ years of experience
  • Strong experiential resumes will be considered

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be comfortable operating across multiple disciplines and engaging with senior Subject Matter Experts in each
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable with programmatic hands-on work, including MS Office suite
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a diverse, cross-functional team
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic to support integration with both onsite and remote teams
  • Ability to work across sites and champion a unified team culture
  • Able to constructively work with the supply base
  • Ability to obtain Secret Clearance is desired

 

Travel/Physical Requirements:

  • Based in Merrimack (NH) with 80% onsite and 25% travel.
  • Roanoke, VA, will also be considered with an increase (~40%) in travel requirement.
