Key job responsibilities
Leo is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the high-cadence payload processing facility (PPF) in Florida to process, integrate and support launch of our constellation of Low Earth Orbit communication satellites. Leo’s constellation will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

The Senior Manager of Payload Processing will have responsibilities to oversee the payload processing facilities, lead the team that executes high-cadence payload processing across multiple launch providers and launch vehicles, and implement process improvement and operational efficiencies to increase scale. The Senior Manager and their team will work tightly with production engineering for successful satellite and dispenser logistics, storage, and integration requirements. They will leverage our teams in procurement, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality in bringing the satellite to dispenser to launch vehicle into a high cadence throughput. Qualified candidates will have experience with growing and leading launch integration/launch operations teams (exempt and non-exempt), satellite processing, clean room maintenance, satellite fueling, electrical systems checkout (both flight and ground electrical hardware), explosive site safety, corrosion control, and operations planning. Additionally experience in Six Sigma, 5S, and similar manufacturing process improvement is a plus. The role will interface with cross-functional engineering and program/product management teams to conduct payload integration, interface with launch vehicle and dispenser system providers, and interface with internal stakeholders to support PPF operations. The role is based near Cape Canaveral, FL.

Reporting to the Head of Launch Services, the Senior Manager of Payload Processing Facility will be a key participant on the Leo leadership team. This role will focus on high-rate plans to implement and scale integration processes to meet the demands of the Leo constellation deployment and satisfy our FCC licensing requirements.

• Develop, train and lead the PPF operations team across all payload processing facilities (requires up to 25% travel).
• Develop and maintain satellite and dispenser processing with high volume manufacturing operational cadence.
• Integrate satellites onto multiple launch vehicles on tight schedules while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
• Effectively communicate orally and in writing both up and down the information chain with high level of visibility internally and externally with suppliers.
• Directly interact and resolve issues with launch providers, range safety and related entities within the facility and externally.

Basic Qualifications: - 9+ years of employee and performance management experience
- 5+ years of hardware development, test lab, space/aerospace maintenance or hands-on engineering environment experience
- 9+ years of facilities management, office management, corporate administrative services, or hospitality management experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any domain)
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree, or experience in design review process to incorporate electrical, mechanical, automation controls solutions to drive equipment reliability and standards
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience using Lean Process Improvement, Six Sigma methodologies or related performance metrics/process improvements to increase efficiency within processes, forecasting, planning, optimization, and logistics

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
