The Engines Technician II (Technician) are an integral part of our Maintenance team. Their experience, practical knowledge, creativity, and problem-solving skills will ensure that the aircraft engines are maintained in an airworthy and dispatch ready status at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform maintenance, repair, modification and inspection of the company’s primary engine, the PW F100-220EI engine, as detailed and in accordance with the Company maintenance operations manual.
  • Assist in intermediate repairs and troubleshooting and may be asked in advanced to extreme repairs for professional development.
  • Apply comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting manufacturer and technical documentation such as military or FAA Technical Orders.
  • Prioritize the completion of engine work packages to meet deadlines and helping ensure the company meets operational requirements.
  • Accountable for executing, assessing inspecting, troubleshooting and diagnosing system failures.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to other technicians.
  • Ensure replacement parts are inspected, eligible, and properly certified prior to installation.
  • Ensure removed parts are properly tagged and routed to quarantine the appropriate department, depending on repair, overhaul or scrap status.
  • Complete and certify work packages and engine historical forms for all work accomplished.
  • Perform line and heavy maintenance activitiesin accordance withoperational standards.
  • Demonstrate adherence to OSHA and OH&S requirements, wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) asappropriateand properlymaintainedtools. Report hazards or potential safety risks to a supervisorimmediately. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess a working knowledge of all components of the PW F-100-220EIengine.
  • Proven track record of success working on complex assignments requiring considerable judgment, initiative and technical/specialized knowledge
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while fostering a positive attitude.
  • Must have strong problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in the English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must demonstrate safe and healthy workplace practices
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Must be able to travel within the US and internationally.
  • Must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities of an Engines Technician II in daily work performance.
  • Must be able to work in various weather environments and conditions.
  • Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) and not be barred from any military or DoD installation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • USAF 5 level or equivalent with progressive and documented experience highly desired.

CERTIFICATIONS, REGISTRATIONS

  • FAA Airframe and Power Plant(A&P) license/certification preferred. Preference will be given to candidates who hold this certification or are able to obtain within 6 months of hire.

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GEDr equired
  • A minimum of 7years’ direct maintenance experience and training on PW F-100-220E aircraft.
  • Understanding of HAZMAT handling and disposure highly desired

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The Aircraft Technician II must be able to stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, sit, talk, walk, hear, see, and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  This position requires close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This role is performed around loud noises and hazardous chemicals with exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risks of electrical shock.
