What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department, including oversight of team performance and deliverables.
- Support Leadership in achieving goals aligned with the company’s Strategic Plan.
- Own and lead the month-end close process, including trial balance reconciliations, journal entries, and financial review.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of all financial transactions.
- Record and reconcile EFT transactions within Vista.
- Process monthly sales tax filings and ensure compliance with all tax requirements.
- Manage the first-of-the-month check run and oversee cash disbursement processes.
- File required monthly reports, including Builder’s Risk and 1GPA reporting.
- Monitor and maintain all business and tax licenses, ensuring timely renewals.
- Oversee and ensure compliance of fleet-related administrative items, including insurance, registration, and renewals.
- Partner with CFO on financial initiatives
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment between financial data and operational performance.
- Ensure all accounting deadlines are met across the team with accuracy and consistency.
- Lead, support, and develop team members, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain and enhance technical knowledge.
- Perform other related duties that support the mission and long-term success of the organization.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. Education and experience will be considered
- Minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience required; construction industry experience preferred.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of job cost accounting and construction financials
- Experience with ERP systems such as Vista Viewpoint preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer, attending meetings, or traveling.
- Ability to stand, walk, and navigate active construction sites, sometimes over uneven terrain or in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Ability to drive or travel by air for client meetings, project visits, conferences, and industry events.
