Position Summary
The Business Development Coordinator is responsible for the sale, execution, and fulfillment of corporate partnerships at Arizona Athletic Grounds. This role manages the full partnership lifecycle — from prospecting and pitching new business to activating contracted assets and delivering measurable return on investment for each assigned corporate partner relationship.
Partnership assets within this role's scope include signage, media (digital, social, and broadcast), consumer and on-site promotions, special events, hospitality, community relations programs, and cause marketing initiatives. In addition to generating new revenue, this position is focused on identifying upsell opportunities and driving the retention and renewal of existing corporate partners.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prospect, pitch, and close new corporate partnership agreements, developing customized proposals, pitch decks, and one-sheets tailored to each prospect's marketing objectives and business goals
- Manage the execution and activation of assigned corporate partnerships across all contracted asset categories
- Develop a clear understanding of each partner's individual business goals and initiatives and strategize opportunities to maximize their investment and deliver measurable ROI
- Consistently identify new ways of generating incremental revenue through account upsell and renewal discussions
- Work closely with marketing, promotions, entertainment, and community relations teams to develop and implement successful promotions, charitable events, and activation features that meet corporate partner goals and provide maximum return on investment
- Assist in various special projects and tentpole events, collaborating with all key internal stakeholders to advance organizational goals and partnership priorities
- Develop strong business relationships with both existing and prospective corporate partners
- Effectively communicate and collaborate across all areas of the organization including sales, marketing, content, community relations, events, and operations
- Work closely with the sales and partnership solutions teams to ensure current partners receive superior service and comprehensive fulfillment of all contractual elements
- Assist with maintaining records of all asset implementation including signage logs, costs, promotions, artwork deadlines, event schedules, and partner communications
- Assist with the production of corporate partner ROI reports, including detailed proof of performance documentation for all sponsorship deliverables
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all assigned corporate partners within SponsorCX and related inventory management systems
- Assist with the planning and execution of AAG-related special events and partner hospitality programs
- Support the professional development of partnership marketing colleagues and contribute to a consistent, high-quality team standard

Experience and Qualifications
- Direct experience selling in the Phoenix market
- Experience in sports sponsorship sales, partnerships, or business development
- Strong ability to prospect, pitch, build relationships, and support closing new business
- Proficiency in Canva, PowerPoint, Excel, and SponsorCX
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Professional, polished, and confident in client-facing environments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines at once
- Self-starter with urgency, follow-through, and attention to detail
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business administration, or a related field highly preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) (Required)Â
- Valid driver’s license (required for golf cart and other equipment use)
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to tolerate moderate to loud noise levels and busy environments.
- May work in high/low temperature climates inside or outside at events at AAG.
- Walking, standing for periods of time, reaching, kneeling, and bending.
- Requires ability to occasionally lift up to 25-35 lbs.Â
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
