About the Role:
The Neighborhood Clinic in Mesa, AZ is looking for a compassionate and skilled Clinical Medical Assistant to join our dedicated healthcare team. Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient examinations and procedures
- Record patient vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints accurately in the EMR system
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring proper sanitation and supply stocking
- Administer injections, vaccinations, and perform phlebotomy as directed
- Process and manage lab specimens, referrals, and prior authorizations
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instructions
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and clinical safety standards
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant diploma or certificate preferred
- CMA (AAMA), RMA, or equivalent medical assistant certification preferred
- 1+ year of clinical medical assistant experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) software
- Strong phlebotomy and clinical skills including vital signs and injections
- Excellent bedside manner with a patient-centered approach to care
- Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire
