Overview:Â We are looking for an experienced Triage LPN who is motivated, professional, and friendly to facilitate care to our patients. This is a full-time, day shift position working a Monday - Friday schedule. Â
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Â
- Works closely with RN and Nurse Manager.
- Triage patient phone calls as needed: documents relevant information in patient chart via computer.
- Assist Physician and RN with coordination of patient care, completing various forms, and communication with other medical personnel as needed.
- Prepares Chart for IV and Oral Therapies education in conjunction with the RN.
- Obtains prior authorizations for Oral Therapies.
- Refills prescriptions for Oral Chemotherapy in conjunction with the RN.
- Schedules first chemotherapy appointment.
- Performs patient education with oral therapy, injections, and non-chemo IV medications.
- IV administration of non-chemo agents.
- Injection administration.
- Checks charts for most recent dictation associated with last visit and verifies authorization and labs.
- Records appropriate information in assessments.Â
- Calls patients with PT/INR results and new directions after receiving from the provider.
- Must be able to type and work on a computer.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Â
- Performs other duties as requested by supervisor, administrator, or physicians.

Minimum Qualifications
Â
- Knowledge of HIPAA rules & regulations.
- Knowledge of diagnostic testing and radiation procedures, preferred.
- Excellent verbal and writing communication skills.
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-9, HCPCS coding.
- Knowledge of basic mathematics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Internet.
- Ability to operate a computer and office equipment.
- Willing to travel between offices. Â
Education and Qualifications: Â Â
- 2-3 years working as LPN in Oncology setting or other Healthcare settings Â
- Graduation from an accredited LPN program. Â
- IV certification Required Â
- Current Arizona LPN State Board of Nursing license required. Â
- Current CPR Certification required. Â Â
