About the RoleÂ
Sky Climber Renewables is seeking experienced Level 2 Wind Composite Blade Repair Technicians to support complex blade inspection, repair, and maintenance scopes across utility-scale wind projects. This role is built for technicians with advanced composite expertise who take pride in craftsmanship, lead crews in the field, and set the standard for safety, quality, and execution.  This is a 100% travel position supporting blade repair campaigns across multiple turbine platforms. Level 2 Composite Technicians serve as technical leaders and on-site supervisors, playing a critical role in planning work, mentoring teams, and coordinating directly with customers.Â
What You’ll DoÂ
- Perform intermediate and advanced wind turbine blade inspection, repair, and maintenance activities, including leading-edge, trailing-edge, shell, tip, and lightning protection system (LPS) repairsÂ
- Safely operate and maintain a wide range of tools and equipment, including power tools, grinders, vacuum systems, calibration tools, hydraulic tools, and electrical testing instrumentsÂ
- Develop detailed task plans and contribute to work procedures related to composite inspection and repair activitiesÂ
- Lead by example on safety, identifying hazards, implementing risk mitigation measures, and reinforcing a no-compromise safety cultureÂ
- Perform and support quality control activities, including audits and verification of composite repairs performed by less experienced techniciansÂ
- Serve as service supervisor for composite crews, including oversight of one or more teams at a single siteÂ
- Mentor and develop junior composite technicians, reinforcing best practices and execution standardsÂ
- Interface directly with customers, supporting planning, coordination, and execution of composite service schedulesÂ
- Quickly assimilate new information and communicate clearly and professionally in the fieldÂ
- Complete rescue operations, technical reports, and administrative documentation accurately and efficientlyÂ

Qualifications & ExperienceÂ
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus post-secondary education in composite applications such as wind school, trade school, or related technical training, OR a minimum of 12 months of wind industry experience focused on composite inspection and repairÂ
- Demonstrated supervisory-level working knowledge of industrial safety practices, including confined space and energy isolation, specific to composite operationsÂ
- Proven ability to complete detailed blade inspections and clearly report findingsÂ
- Proficiency with intermediate and advanced composite repair techniques, including matrix systems such as epoxies and adhesives, reinforcement and core materials, layup schedules, material lists, and part-building processesÂ
- Experience with lighting systems and intermediate to advanced blade repairs, including leading-edge, trailing-edge, shell, tip, and lightning protection system repairsÂ
- Strong attention to detail, execution excellence, and professional customer interaction skillsÂ
- Ability to collaborate effectively across crews and organizational levelsÂ
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with web-based systems and documentation toolsÂ
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in EnglishÂ
Physical & Travel RequirementsÂ
- Ability to travel 100% and work overtime, including variable schedules based on project demandsÂ
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs 60–125 metersÂ
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 50 lbsÂ
- Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for extended periodsÂ
- Weight restriction of 260 lbs, required to ensure safe use of weight-rated equipmentÂ
