About the Role:

The Commercial HVAC & Refrigeration Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of commercial HVAC systems across various clients. This position requires diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical issues to minimize downtime and maintain system efficiency. The technician should be competent in diagnosing issues during service calls and be comfortable performing preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and ensure compliance with safety standards. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with customers and team members to deliver timely and effective service solutions. Ultimately, the Service Technician contributes to a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment through expert technical support and maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • EPA 608 Certified
  • Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing HVAC/R systems
  • Familiarity with maintaining and servicing commercial HVAC/R equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and system diagrams
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites throughout the Phoenix area
  • Strong written communication skills for preparing detailed service reports
  • Prior experience working in commercial HVAC/R service

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair HVAC system issues to identify and resolve malfunctions
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC systems and general building infrastructure to prevent equipment failures
  • Utilize power tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively to complete repair and maintenance tasks
  • Write routine reports and correspondence documenting service activities, findings, and recommendations
  • Respond promptly to service calls, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and contractors to coordinate repairs and upgrades
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during service activities

The required skills, including HVAC/R troubleshooting and general maintenance knowledge, are essential for diagnosing and repairing equipment issues efficiently.
