Position Summary

The Construction Laborer provides essential support to field teams, including foremen, construction carpenters, form setters, finishers, and general laborers across a variety of construction projects. Working under direct supervision, this role assists in the successful execution of day-to-day project activities by performing general labor tasks and operating mechanical equipment as required. Responsibilities include supporting site maintenance, ensuring cleanliness, and contributing to a safe work environment through active housekeeping and hazard prevention efforts. The Construction Laborer plays a hands-on role in promoting efficiency, safety, and productivity on construction sites, making them a key contributor to overall project success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Clean and prepare construction sites.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors.
  • Implement construction plans.
  • Assist skilled tradespeople in their duties.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to job functions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners, as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promptly report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or incidents to management.
  • Participate in required training sessions and safety briefings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet operational needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Construction experience (preferred)
  • Decision-making skills
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Ability to stay in compliance with safety requirements and regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
