Assistant Store Manager

Assistant Store Manager Responsibilities

As an Assistant Store Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading, coaching, and motivating your store team. Working alongside the Store Manager, you’ll help create a positive team environment, develop future leaders, and ensure daily operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering exceptional customer service
  • Supporting and coaching team members
  • Processing cash and credit transactions accurately
  • Responsibly selling alcohol, tobacco, and lottery products
  • Assisting with daily store operations and merchandising
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment
  • Supporting staffing, scheduling, and leadership initiatives

Open availability is important in this role, including the ability to work various shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous retail experience preferred, with at least one year of related experience strongly encouraged
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Positive, hands-on leadership style
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Reliable transportation and current auto insurance required for certain leadership responsibilities
