Overview
We are seeking a Clinical Dietitian, also referred to as a Registered Dietitian. The Registered Dietitian (RD) in our hospital designs and implements nutrition care plans for patients, tailoring diets to medical needs. Clinical Dietitian’s assess nutritional status, monitor progress, educate patients and families, collaborate with healthcare teams, and ensure dietary staff prepares meals that meet safety and health standards. The Registered Dietitian’s goal is to improve patient outcomes through effective nutrition management. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PRN as needed.Â

** Nutrition experience and nutrition support as it relates to tube feedings and (Total Parenteral Nutrition) TPN. **Â

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):Â
- Nutritional assessment: evaluate patients' dietary needs based on medical conditions, lab results, and health historyÂ
- Develop meal plans: create individualized nutrition plans to support recovery, manage chronic diseases, or address specific conditions like diabetes, heart disease, or malnutritionÂ
- Track patients’ progress, adjust meal plans as needed, and ensure nutritional goals are metÂ
- Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to integrate nutrition into patient care plansÂ
- Educate patients and their families about proper nutrition education, special diets, or post-discharge meal planningÂ
- Ensure meals prepared by the dietary staff align with prescribed diets and safety standardsÂ
Qualifications
Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: Â
- Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) licenseÂ
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting providing patient nutritional careÂ

Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Â
- Strong understanding of medical nutrition therapy (MNT)Â
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skillsÂ
- Ability to educate and motivate patients and families on healthy eating habitsÂ
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systemsÂ
