We’re searching for the next generation of innovative minds who want to shape the world and live to build. Christman Facility Solutions is looking for an HVAC Service Supervisor in our Mesquite, Texas region.
What You Will Do:
As an HVAC Service Supervisor, your primary daily responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
Assists the Service Manager/MEP Director and Dispatch with supervision, scheduling, and management of all commercial service work and installations.
Mentors, trains, and provides ongoing support to Service Technicians and Service Coordinators.
Actively participates in developing best practices, standard operating procedures, and training materials. Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement in quality, communication, safety, and cost management.
Performs, supervises, and coordinates the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems for commercial and high-end residential clients.
Conducts field inspections to ensure quality workmanship, code compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Reviews and collects all technician job write-ups daily; ensures timely and accurate service documentation.
Troubleshoots and resolves complex mechanical or electrical HVAC issues, providing on-site technical support as needed.
Enforces safety standards, including proper handling of refrigerants, electrical safety, and OSHA compliance.
Promptly investigates, reports, and resolves customer service issues or complaints.
Communicates project updates, technical issues, and resource needs to Service Managers, Coordinators, and Project Managers.
Manages field equipment, parts inventory, and maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
Serves as a primary point of contact for clients regarding project progress and field performance.
Suggests additional maintenance or service solutions that benefit the client.
Fosters teamwork, accountability, and open communication across the field team.
Holds monthly meetings with field technicians to review metrics, costs, and provide performance feedback.
Expected Hours of Work: Full-time position, occasional extended hours and weekends may apply. Â
Travel: Must have reliable transportation. Must be willing to travel at least 60 miles a day dependent on project location relative to where the employee lives. Long distance travel may be required occasionally, including overnight stays depending on the project.
What You Will Bring to the Team:
Required experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of fifteen (15) or more years of HVAC Service experience, including five (5) or more years of supervisory experience or equivalent work experience.
Current State issued Refrigerant License
-or- Equivalent combination of the above education, training, and experience.
Preferred experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include:
Current First Aid/CPR with AED certification.
Current OSHA 30 certification.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Build Opps and/or Service Software.
EPA Certification and advanced trade licenses preferred (HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer, etc.).
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record.
Knowledgeable of applicable codes and local ordinance requirements. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
Familiarity with manufacturer control systems such as ABB, Watt-master, Aaon, MCS, Trane, Carrier, and JCI.
Must have ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics and technical drawings.Â
Well organized, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and negotiation abilities.Â
Must possess the ability to adapt to different personalities, management styles, and team compositions.
Self-motivated in managing one’s time and the time of others, motivated to develop others.
