As an Unarmed Security Officer - Government Building Days in Mesquite, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong customer service and communication.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and help to verify that entry activity follows site protocols, reporting suspicious behavior, security-related concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
  • Support Allied Universal post orders by maintaining a visible presence, preparing incident reports, and assisting with security-related responses during routine operations and/or emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
