LAUNDRY LINEN DRIVER - CB - FULL-TIME - DAY SHIFT

STARTING RATE:  $18.00

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT:  21 years old                  

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:  Valid Driver’s License and D.M.V. Driving History Printout (no more than 30 days old).

JOB SUMMARY:

It is the responsibility of the Laundry Driver to deliver clean and pick up soiled linen at each Hotel property

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be customer service and team oriented. Must have the ability to perform a variety of duties with extreme care and safety, the ability to follow directions and adjust to changing environmental conditions, and work in a fast- paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment.  Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate in English.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Do a complete inspection of the vehicle per D.OT. Regulations prior to driving.

1. Assure fuel controls are properly maintained.

1. Perform daily preventative maintenance check oil, water, fuel, air and other additives, report any mechanical physical damage observed on vehicle.

1. Assure vehicles’ appearance is clean.

1. Load and unload hampers (soil and clean linen) assuring loads are properly secure.

1. Transport linen and garments to and from the Hotel properties.

1. Other job related duties as assigned and instructed by management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The work requires considerable and strenuous physical exertion such as twisting, standing, bending, kneeling, frequent walking on concrete surfaces, lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects. Must possess the ability to push and maneuver a loaded laundry hamper weighing in excess of three (300) pounds at a time. Maintain a professional appearance, adhering to Company appearance standards.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of an Industrial Laundry setting. Work in a fast-paced, busy and occasionally noisy environment with frequent dirt, dust, and fumes. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated but temperatures can reach 80 – 85 degrees during summer months.
