Job Summary
The Accountant is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and maintaining financial records. This role ensures the accuracy of financial transactions, prepares financial statements, assists with budgeting and forecasting, manages tax compliance, and supports audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
- Record, classify, and reconcile financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Prepare and file tax returns and ensure tax compliance.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Monitor financial controls and identify process improvements.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and applicable regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.
- 2+ years of accounting experience (requirements may vary by level).
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
