ACCOUNTANT
Job Summary
The Accountant is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial activities of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records and accounting transactions.
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and account reconciliations.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Monitor financial activity and identify discrepancies or areas requiring further review.
- Ensure accounting records and processes are maintained in accordance with GAAP and applicable company procedures.
- Support the development and maintenance of internal accounting controls and financial procedures.
- Assist Management with financial analysis and information needed to support business decisions.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation and records.
- Support external accounting, tax, audit, or financial reporting requirements as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of company financial information.
- Perform other accounting and financial duties as assigned based on business needs.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA certification is a strong advantage (preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
- Experience in a service-based or staffing industry is a plus.
- Previous experience managing internal company finances is highly preferred.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
