Job Summary
Pleasantville Nursing Center, in Metter, GA is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Director of Rehab,Occupational Therapy Assistant, to join our in-house therapy team! The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in skilled nursing setting, focusing on rehabilitation and recovery. This role involves working closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans, utilizing knowledge of medical terminology and various therapeutic techniques. New-Grad Friendly!

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' physical abilities and limitations through comprehensive evaluations.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals, incorporating evidence-based practices.
  • Implement therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve mobility, strength, and overall function.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, home exercises, and self-management strategies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective discharge planning.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment interventions, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Stay updated on advancements in physical therapy practices.

Qualifications

  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to Occuaptional therapy practices.
  • Experience in skilled nursing settings is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with discharge planning processes to facilitate smooth transitions for patients.
  • Background in treating geriatric populations is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
