Requirements:
• Must be licensed as a Dentist by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners with no restrictions
• Must have a current unrestricted registration certificate from the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA)
• Must possess a National Provider Identifier (NPI)
• Must be proficient in computers and electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Must complete all pre-employment training mandated by the agency and facility
• Must submit to required drug screening and fingerprinting/background checks
• Must comply with agency and facility immunization requirements
• Must maintain current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification

Responsibilities:
• Provide routine, preventive, and advanced dental care to improve and maintain oral hygiene for all individuals served.
• Implement best and safe practices in all dental treatments.
• Accurately document care in electronic medical and dental records for residents with intellectual disabilities.
• Develop written treatment plans, including justification for irreversible dental treatments.
• Perform patient care duties under the supervision of the Dental Director.
• Work effectively in a team-oriented clinical environment.
• Maintain effective communication with staff, residents, and stakeholders.
• Ensure accurate organization of patient records, schedules, and clinical documentation.
• Present clinical and procedural information clearly to teams and relevant parties.
• Perform duties with minimal supervision while adhering to facility policies and standards.
