Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist
Western Pennsylvania | Full-Time | Patient-Centered Healthcare
We’re not looking for someone to simply fill a position. We’re looking for a hearing care professional who wants to make a difference.
Our patients don't come to us because they want another electronic device. They come because hearing loss is affecting their relationships, confidence, independence, and quality of life.
Our job is to change that.
We are looking for a Pennsylvania-licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist (HIS) to join our Western Pennsylvania team. This is an opportunity for an experienced professional who is ready to hit the ground running, build meaningful patient relationships, and practice hearing healthcare the right way.
This is who we are.
Our mission is simple:
Hearing Care for Life.
And our core values aren't words on a wall. They guide the way we operate every clinic and every patient interaction:
Treat Every Patient Like Family.
Â
Educate Our Patients.
Â
Better Hearing Is the Agenda.
Â
See the Opportunity in Every Interaction.
We believe patients deserve to be listened to—not rushed.
They deserve to understand their hearing loss and their options—not to be pressured into a purchase.
They deserve a professional who remembers their name, knows their story, and genuinely cares what happens after they leave the office.
And our team members deserve the same kind of respect.
What you'll do
As a licensed hearing care professional, you'll take ownership of the patient experience from evaluation through fitting, follow-up, and long-term care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive hearing evaluations and interpreting results
- Identifying appropriate treatment options based on each patient's individual needs
- Recommending, fitting, programming, and troubleshooting hearing technology
- Educating patients and their families about hearing loss and communication strategies
- Developing long-term relationships with patients and providing exceptional follow-up care
- Maintaining accurate clinical and patient records
- Collaborating with our Patient Care Coordinators and clinical team
- Participating in community and physician outreach when appropriate
- Helping patients make informed decisions without high-pressure sales tactics
- Continuing to develop your clinical knowledge and expertise
What we're looking for
Required:
- Current Pennsylvania license as a Hearing Instrument Specialist
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Professionalism, reliability, and excellent follow-through
- Ability to work independently while being a strong team player
- Genuine desire to help people hear better and live better
Even more important:
We want someone who understands that hearing healthcare is about people first and technology second.
You should be comfortable having difficult conversations, educating rather than selling, and taking the time necessary to understand what matters to each patient.
You should be confident enough to make clinical decisions independently—but humble enough to ask questions and learn.
And you should believe that great patient experience and a successful business are not competing goals. When you take care of people the right way, business takes care of itself.
Why join us?
Because we believe you should be able to enjoy the work you do.
You'll join an established team with structured processes, clinical support, training resources, and experienced leadership. We don't expect you to figure everything out alone.
We want licensed professionals who can take ownership of their patients and their clinic while having the support of a larger team behind them.
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Walk into an established patient base
- Build lasting patient relationships
- Practice with the support of an experienced team
- Continue developing your clinical and technical skills
- Work with modern hearing technology and fitting software
- Being part of a culture that values teamwork and accountability
- Make a measurable difference in people's lives every day
And here's what we don't want.
If you're looking for a job where you simply move patients through a schedule, sell whatever is easiest to sell, and go home at the end of the day, we probably aren't the right practice for you.
If you're looking for a place where patients are treated like numbers, please keep looking.
But if you believe that hearing care is about earning trust, solving problems, educating people, and changing lives, we'd like to meet you.
The opportunity
This position is based in our Western Pennsylvania clinics, serving communities where we have established practices and a strong history of patient care.
We're particularly interested in an experienced HIS who can step into the role and become productive quickly. We are willing to train the right person on our systems, processes, and fitting platforms—but we're looking for someone who already brings the clinical foundation, professional maturity, and patient-care mindset necessary to succeed.
You bring the expertise. We'll provide support, tools, patients, and a team.
If that sounds like the kind of practice you've been looking for, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply today and tell us why you believe you're the right person to join our team.
