 Please note, this role is hourly. Hourly rate to be based on experience. 


Position Overview:


As Human Resources Coordinator, you will assist the Generalist and Specialist with day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the department. This position assists with onboarding, filing, updating employee records, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable and detail oriented.


Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with onboarding newly hired employees and ensure all required documentation is completed.
  • Prepare and organize materials for job fairs, meetings, training sessions, and other HR-related events.
  • Assist employees with general questions regarding payroll, benefits, company policies, time off, and HR procedures.
  • Partner with the Human Resources Specialist to support benefits enrollment, including communicating with newly eligible employees.
  • Monitor the completion of required training, certifications, and other compliance-related requirements.
  • Prepare ad hoc Human Resources reports as requested.
  • Organize, maintain, and update employee records and personnel files.
  • Assist the Human Resources Generalist with employee engagement programs and company initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Support the Human Resources team with additional projects and administrative responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of experience in Human Resources or a related role required.
  • Previous experience in the restaurant, hospitality, retail, or another high-volume environment is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional, approachable, and service-oriented demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Basic knowledge of employment laws, onboarding requirements, and Human Resources best practices.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with employees, managers, and department leaders.
  • Bilingual proficiency is highly preferred.
