Job Summary:

As the Mixologist, you will be responsible for both the creative and operational aspects of our bar. You will develop signature cocktails, ensure a high-quality guest experience, manage bar inventory, and oversee the daily functioning of the bar. Your expertise in mixology will drive the bar's identity, while your leadership will ensure smooth operations and excellent service.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cocktail Creation and Mixology:

  • Design and craft innovative, seasonal, and signature cocktails that align with the bar's theme and target demographic.

  • Develop recipes using a variety of spirits, fresh ingredients, and garnishes, with a focus on quality, presentation, and creativity.

  • Ensure that all cocktails are consistently made to the highest standards, maintaining an exceptional customer experience.

  • Stay up-to-date with trends in the cocktail industry, incorporating new techniques, ingredients, and styles into the bar's offerings.

2. Bar Operations and Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring it runs efficiently and profitably.

  • Order and maintain bar supplies and inventory, including liquor, mixers, and glassware.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, health, and safety regulations, including age restrictions and alcohol service laws.

3. Staff Management and Training:

  • Train, and motivate bartenders and other bar staff, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge to provide top-tier customer service.

  • Conduct regular training sessions on cocktail preparation, customer service, product knowledge, and bar safety.

  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

  • Lead by example in providing excellent service and upholding the brand's standards.

4. Customer Service and Guest Relations:

  • Engage directly with guests when needed, offering recommendations, creating personalized drink experiences, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner, maintaining a positive relationship with patrons.

  • Ensure that all guests feel welcome and comfortable in the bar environment, promoting a friendly and inviting atmosphere.

 

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of bartending experience

  • Education: A high school diploma is required; a degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.

  • Mixology Expertise: Deep knowledge of cocktails, spirits, liqueurs, and modern mixology techniques. Familiarity with classic cocktail recipes and trends.

  • Customer Service: Excellent communication skills with a customer-first mentality. 
  • Creativity: A passion for creating unique cocktails and contributing to the bar's identity through innovative drink offerings.
  • Multitasking: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the bar for long periods.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to [XX] pounds of supplies and equipment.

  • Manual dexterity to handle tools, glassware, and bottles.

 

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced and dynamic bar setting with high customer interaction.

  • Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required.
