Reporting Relationship:

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Clinical duties will be as a Neonatal Attending in the Neonatal Services at Jackson South and Jckson North Hospitals providing medical care for neonates in these units on a 24 hour 7 days per week rotational schedule. 

  • This includes providing antenatal consultation for high-risk pregnancies, assistance with the care and stabilization of infants in the delivery rooms and conducting daily rounds on patients in the different neonatal special care units.

  • Some administrative duties within the division and the Newborn Service are also part of the job

  • Active participation in teaching and educational activities of pediatric residents, neonatal fellows and medical students are also included in this position

  • The job also requires development and participation in original research either clinical or translational for which extramural funding should sought.

Requirements:

Active Florida Medical License

Board Certified in Pediatrics

Neonatal Board Eligible or Neonatal Experience Preferred
