The #1 Priority of this position is…

To assist the Director of Food Services in planning, organizing, directing, staffing, leading, controlling, coordinating the dining room, bar, training staff and inventory control.Ā 

Ā Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Scheduling and supervising dining room waiters and waitresses.
  • Assist with orientation and training of new waiters and waitresses.
  • Maintain standards for safety, sanitation, storage of food supplies and banquet supplies.
  • InteractĀ courteously and tactfully with managers, coworkers, customers, vendors, residents and resident family members.
  • Ability to promote and execute our culture of ā€œYesā€.

Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent (GED).
  • Experience in food service and in supervising dining room staff.
  • Ability to speak, read & write English with good comprehension. Spanish preferred.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of the restaurant service; health, sanitation and safety requirements.

  • Flexible as to work schedule. Must be available to work on weekends, holidays and in emergency situations
  • Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task.
