Equities Sales Trader (Miami, FL)

Execute equity trades for clients. Evaluate financial market conditions and developing strategies to respond to market changes. Gather and synthesize macro-economic and political information in Global Markets to present to international investors. Liaise with equities team in Latin American offices to keep abreast of and disseminate insights about changes in the market. Apply in-depth knowledge of Latin American markets and BTG Pactual US’s financial products to evaluate equity investments made by BTG Pactual US and its clients, including analyzing risks and exposures. Prepare investment recommendations and advise clients about investment opportunities in Global Markets. Maintain relationships with institutional clients. Prospect new clients for BTG Pactual US Capital LLC.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, business administration, or a related field and five years of experience trading at a financial services firm with a focus on Latin America.
• Knowledge of equities industry and products including cash equities, ETFs, ADRs, and familiarity with corporate actions (dividends, splits, rights issues).
• Knowledge of trading regulations in Chile, Peru, Colombia and Mexico.
• Knowledge of the flow of funds and cross-border implications when trading with offshore clients and trading/settlement of securities in the Lat Am region.
• Familiarity with TOMS, Fidessa, Tropical and Bloomberg trading systems.
• Will sponsor for Series 7 and 63 if not already licensed.
