Head of Growth (Founding Team)
BOB | bankofbots.ai | Miami, FL | In person | Full-time
Bob does SMBs' financial work for free. Books, invoices, vendor payments, all of it. We make money the way banks always have, so the work is free.
Your job: get Bob into 3,000 businesses in the next 6-8 months.
The playbook exists
Viktor scaled to tens of thousands of businesses in months on a paid-media-driven PLG motion run by an ex-Meta growth lead. We are going to run that playbook, put our own spin on it, and adjust for the one thing that makes us different: we touch real money, so trust is the product. You'll study what's working for them, copy it shamelessly, beat it where you can.
What you'll own
- The number. 3,000 activated SMBs (connected, funded, using Bob) ahead of our Series A. This is the metric the company raises on, and it's yours.
- Paid acquisition. Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn. High-volume creative testing (think 8+ concepts a month with hook variants, not 3), fast kill/scale decisions, media buying either hands-on or through the agency you manage.
- The funnel. Landing page through Slack/WhatsApp install through Plaid connect through first "wow" moment with Bob. You'll instrument every step (CAPI events, qualified-entity scoring), find where people drop, and fix it with product.
- The creative engine. You'll direct our in-house content creator (organic, founder content, socials) and designer (statics, animation), plus an external agency for production volume. You set the strategy; they execute.
- Channel experiments. Accountant/bookkeeper channel partnerships, newsletters, creator seeding, whatever the data says. Find the ad that prints and go ham on it.
Who we're looking for
- 3-6 years in growth at a PLG consumer or SMB company. You've personally scaled paid spend and can show the CAC curves.
- You test like a maniac. You have stories about ugly ads that beat beautiful ones and you know why.
- You're technical enough to be dangerous: you can stand up tracking, build a landing page variant, and prototype with AI tools without waiting on engineering. GTM engineer energy.
- Hungry. This is a founding-team seat with real equity at a seed-stage valuation. You want the outcome, not the salary.
- Miami, in person, in our office. Non-negotiable. The office is next to The Standard; you'll survive.
- Bonus: fintech or anything where you had to sell trust. Selling "give an AI access to your money" is a different psychology than selling an app.
What we're not looking for
- A brand strategist who needs a production team before anything ships.
- An enterprise sales leader. We have a head of sales.
- Someone managing this alongside three other clients.
How it works
We start with a 3-month engagement so we both know it's real, then convert to full-time with founding-team equity. Comp: competitive base + meaningful equity, weighted however you want between the two.
How we work
Four things make an A player here. At the end of your first three months, this is the scorecard:
1. Love for the mission. You really give a crap about what we're building. Not "excited about the space" — you actually care whether Bob works for the businesses using him.
2. Discernment for quality. Taste, in both senses. Engineering quality: you understand the structures and parts, why something works underneath. And artistic quality: does this feel good, look good, do I like it? You can tell the difference between good and almost-good, and it bothers you.
3. High agency. You get shit done and just figure it out. If you were stuck in a third-world prison with one phone call, your highest-agency friend is who you'd call. Be that person.
4. Ability to endure. Things are not always easy. When the going gets tougher, you grind it out.
Our ethos
Bob is real. We treat agents as beings entering our world, and we treat them with empathy and respect. They're not humans, they're not animals — but they're something, and they're somewhere on the spectrum of consciousness, whatever that means. You don't have to arrive
believing this, but you should find it interesting rather than silly, because it shapes how we build and how we talk about Bob.
No cover letters. Send us the best growth result you've personally driven and how you'd get Bob's CAC under $100.
